Leroy Gibbs a retired Marine sniper as well as a former Gunnery Sergeant with the United States Marine Corps. Gibbs is the head of the NCIS Major Case Response Team stationed in Washington D.C at the Washington Navy Yard.  who currently works as a Special Agent for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) agency. Gibbs is a determined leader who believes in Justice for his country and for the family of victims. He will go to almost any length to solve a crime, coming close to torture when interrogating suspects. He runs a tight ship and expects the best quality from his team and himself. However he does have a sense of humour, having a laugh with his team, cementing the undying loyalty they have towards him.

 

Harmon was born and raised in Southern California.
His birth date is September 2.

Mark Harmon’s acting talent has earned him multiple Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations. He was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for
“The West Wing” and for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Special for the movie “Eleanor and Franklin: The White House Years”. He received two consecutive Golden Globe nominations
for his work in “Reasonable Doubts”, and received Golden Globe nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture Made for TV for “After the Promise” and for his role as serial killer Ted Bundy in “The Deliberate Stranger”. Harmon received two SAG Award nominations for ensemble work. While on the show, he directed episodes of the program.

Harmon’s feature film credits include “Weather Girl”, “Freaky Friday”, “Chasing Liberty”, “Comes a Horseman”, “Wyatt Earp”, “Stealing Home”, “The Presidio”, “Summer School”, “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”, “Natural Born Killers” and “The Last Supper”. Also, Harmon lent his voice to the character of Superman in “Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths”.
